Held every two years, the 17th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2017) will be grandly held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from April 21 to April 28, 2017. With the theme of "Committed to Better Life," Auto Shanghai 2017 will showcase the most cutting-edge technology and products of automobile industry, focusing on the infinite possibility of human life resulted from new technologies, trends and products, reflecting the latest development trend of automobile electrification, intelligentization and networking.

Auto Shanghai 2017 is organized by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shanghai Sub-Council, and China Council for the Promotion of International trade, Automotive Sub-Council, co-organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. and MMG-Messe Muenchen International/IMAG as the European Co-organizer. China Machinery Industry Federation is the special supporter of the exhibition while the Society of Automotive Engineers of China is the supporter.

According to the exhibition schedule, April 19 to April 20 are press days which are only open for media from domestic and overseas; April 21 to April 23 are professional days and April 24 to April 28 are public days.

Auto Shanghai 2017 has attracted the active participation of more than 1,000 famous domestic and international exhibitors from 18 countries and regions. Up to 1,400 complete vehicles will be on display at the event, including 113 world premiere cars (83 domestic and 30 overseas ones), 159 new energy vehicles (96 domestic and 63 overseas ones), 56 concept cars and 44 Asia premiere cars. With a general scope of over 360,000sqm, the exhibition will occupy all the 13 indoor halls of NECC (Shanghai). Among them, 9 halls are for passenger vehicles (1H, 2H, 4.1H, 5.1H, 6.1H, 7.1H, 7.2H, 8.1H, 8.2H); 1 hall is for commercial vehicles (3H); 3 halls are for auto parts manufacturers (4.2H, 5.2H, 6.2H); 2 halls are for media and press center (3H, 6.2H). Except the above, functional and service area such as catering area, resting area, clinic etc. can also be found in the exhibition center.
